The purpose of the Interpersonal Communication Interest Group is to provide a forum for those individuals, lay or professional, from the Western United States who are interested in research, theory, or instruction in the area of Interpersonal Communication.

We are preparing for our 2020 conference in Denver, CO, which is themed Communication, Agitation, & Change.  Review the ICIG call for submissions.  Also, check out WSCA’s conference planner Dr. Marnel Niles Goins’ description and thoughts on the 2020 theme.

—We had a glitch!—

The WSCA submission system for the Interpersonal Interest Group struggled this weekend (you may have noticed).

We are reopening the submission system for you. We have been given until 5pm (PST) today (Tuesday, Sept 3) to continue accepting submissions.

If you have any questions or difficulties, please email Allison Thorson (athorson@usfca.edu).

In response to the recent discussions regarding inclusivity and diversity within the field, the current officers released a statement expressing solidarity with the scholar activists who have called for and are enacting change.

If this is your area of interest, when applying for membership in WSCA or when renewing your membership, be sure to check “Interpersonal Communication” as one of your interest groups.
