The purpose of the WSCA Interpersonal Communication Interest Group is to provide a forum for those individuals, lay or professional, from the Western United States (and all over the country) who are interested in research, theory, or instruction in the area of Interpersonal Communication.

WSCA’s 2021 conference postponed.

“We have chosen to postpone our convention until 2022, when we will meet form February 18-21 in Portland, Oregon. When we announced the 2021 theme of “Cultivate,” we recognized it was a powerful verb focused both on intentional examination of the current conditions and measured work to support growth and flourishing into the future. Cultivation is a process that can take time, and we believe that we can continue cultivating together in many ways over the next year and reconnect under this theme in Portland in 2022. In response to the recent discussions regarding inclusivity and diversity within the field, the current officers released a statement expressing solidarity with the scholar activists who have called for and are enacting change.
